Swasticas In School

Yesterday I got motivated to do homework again (throwback to last post, right?)... Statistical Quality Control to be specific. I hate homework in that class. Anyways, I know on Tuesday he DID give us homework due this upcoming Tuesday. And he ALWAYS posts the homework online for us. Well, I assumed he'd post it online so I didn't write it down. Woops. It definitely wasn't posted online. I'm guessing a large number of others in my class will have the same issue. He's out of town also so he's not answering any of our e-mails related to class stuff. Stinks though... motivation shot down again! As long as I don't get hurt by it come Tuesday.

Anyways, I figured out why this happened. As I was leaving the building I saw this study nook:

Nazis are preventing me from doing my homework. It's official.

Get Motivated! Pictures included.

Come on, Andrew, get motivated! Just a few weeks left of school and I have so dang much to do. There's a ton of stuff I need to do for Crusade before summer comes, a ton of stuff I need to do for every single one of my classes (multiple projects, tests very soon), other school related things I need to work on along with working on getting a job this summer... it's overwhelming. I feel like I always have way way too much to do.

Having said that, most of it is a problem of motivation. I worry that I have a lot to do so I don't do any of it. Does that make sense? Logically, no, it makes absolutely zero sense. But psychologically it somehow works that way for me. When I have absolutely nothing to do I usually want to do something big. When I have a dozen things that are very important that all need to be done at once, I don't want to do anything at all. It sucks.

Earlier today I finally got up motivation to go do homework and study for my test on Tuesday. I went to tech hall only to have my motivation shot down and killed by the system, or "the man." All the labs were locked for spring break except for one and that printer didn't work. Seriously? I'm given stuff I need to do over spring break but am not given the ability to do it. Sure, I could still do it, but it would involve me going much further out of my way than I was planning on going, thus killing the little bit of motivation I had to begin with. Note to "the man" : If you want me to do something, it's hard enough for me to get up the motivation to do it, so you damn well better not start throwing roadblocks in my face once I get motivated.

But tomorrow is the start of something new. I've spent all of today doing absolutely NOTHING useful [editor's note: not entirely true, but we'll go with it]. So tomorrow? I'm going to wake up and be useful. I'm going to start doing what I've needed to BE doing. Hopefully. Please. I need to, haha. So that gives me about 2 hours left of being ridiculously lazy.

Finally, here are some pictures from an amazing spring break trip at the beach near Clearwater:

On the drive down, I definitely hit 100,000 miles. And it was good.

Cool sunset shot

I only kind of think beer is merely "okay." If that even. But man, on this day, it was amazing.

Just a shot I liked... good colors.

Busch Gardens... 90 degrees down going 75mph = AMAZING FUN

and finally....

I give you...

Missed a lot. Now: Spring Break

A lot has happened since my last post... but I shall describe none of it here right now. Too much to write. I've had so many things I've wanted to say/write on here recently but literally haven't had time to sit down and do it. One thing happens, time goes by, and a new thing happens to make the previous thought I've wanted to get across obsolete. That's the beauty of twitter though I guess - post quick things whenever!

Anyways, yep, a whole lot has gone on: Oscars, my trip to Orlando to visit Lake Hart where I'm considering possibly working after graduation with Campus Crusade, school crap going on, interesting situational stuff and fun things that have been going on, and now tomorrow I'm leaving for Florida for the second time in less than a month. We're leaving at 7am for Clearwater.

I've been looking forward to this spring break for a while, but the past week there have been things worrying me. First, everyone around me is sick as a dog, including Dan who was quite bad off. So I've been praying I didn't get that, considering I'm a driver on this trip (and that's like a 12 hour freakin drive with a group our size). Then, yesterday, I didn't contract his alement but I contracted something else... semi-embarassing but what the crap. Basically, I constantly feel like I have to go to the bathroom even if I don't actually have to go at all. No pain, nothing, just that I constantly feel like I have to go. This has only happened two other times in my life and both situations involved having too many softdrinks (could be an adverse reaction to caffeine or carbonation or something). Those situations actually caused me to stop drinking soft drinks altogether. And then yesterday, bam, it came back, and it has been torturing me all yesterday and all today. I don' t know what in the world could have caused it. Coffee? Too much Vitamin C (which I have had a crapton of in an effort to not get sick)? I can't think what it could be. But it's ridiculously awful and I can barely even sleep. Hopefully it won't go into a third day and driving at 7am tomorrow for 12 hours won't be hell. I don't want to be "that guy" that is always pulling over.

Worry number 2 is all the rain. It's ridiculous. I HATE driving in the rain more than just about anything - bad past experiences. And most of the entire drive will be in the rain. I'm wimpy and like to go slow in the rain "just in case" but I won't be able to do that if I'm a part of a caravan. Plus, the constant dripping water all around me surely won't help the problem above if that issue persists. I'm really ready for tomorrow to be over already. Which is sad because I normally LOVE driving long distances and I love road trips. But the rain + medical issues is freaking me out.

Blah. Hopefully it'll be fine by morn. But I doubt it. But hopefully.
