Can I complain? OK!

Because I feel the need to complain. Seriously.

(if you hate negative posts. skip to the bottom, woo! but don't skip the first 2 paragraphs... or else.)

This week, is going to SUCK. It's going to be awful. Horrendous. Normally I can't predict these things and I don't even like predicting these things. It's like the last time I went to the dentist - I didn't want to go because I knew it was going to be awful - turns out I was wrong. It was the first time ever that she didn't scold me for not flossing 8 times a day. That was my mistake, shouldn't have been negative. This is more like the time when I knew putting duck intestine in my mouth was going to be an awful experience, and I did, and it was an awful experience. I know this week like I knew that duck intestine was a bad thing to eat.

This morning I woke up late with a splitting headache, and decided a shower might help. Well, it did help, until I stepped out of the shower only to find my toilet had overflowed (keep in mind, it hadn't been used since the night before, so it was normal good water). 3 towels for the floor and 1 for me, and that problem was solved... until I ran the dishwasher and washing machine at the same time, in which case it almost overflowed again. Luckily I stopped it from filling up by strategically jamming the plunger into the back basin in order for it all to drain. Also, luckily about 5 minutes later I heard a loud rushing sound from somewhere in the middle of the house and in a matter of seconds all my problems were solved. Great start for the week.

Now, let's get to the next 4 days:

Monday: Class most of the day until 5:15, followed by a Thermo test at 5:30 and a Bible Study immedietly after. Estimated time till bed? 11 or 12. Estimated time to study on Monday? 2 hours.
Tuesday: Class till 11, then workout, then 4 hours to study and do a massive HW assignment for my next class. Class at 5:30 until 7, followed by CRU until 11 (I'm the emcee so I kind of have to be there). Estimated time to study all day? 4 hours.
Wednesday: Short amount of time to study in the morning, followed by a CRU planning meeting immedietly followed by 1 test, then 2 test, then another class, then a 3 hour lab until 10pm. Two tests and no more than 1 hour to study.
Thursday: Class till 11, then workout, then 4 hours to study for final test of the week. Freedom.

FOUR TESTS. A substancial homework assignment due in every single class I have a test in. I have been doing those homework assignments most of this weekend because they were just assigned last week (and I had other stuff due last week), and have had no time to study for any of the tests other than mild prep for my test tomorrow. Four tests with about 2 hours of total prep behind the first one, 5 hours of prep behind the next two (combined), and another four behind the final one. And knowing me, I don't have the ability to study for 4 hours straight without going crazy.

So here's my thought:
D for Diploma.

Translation:
I don't care. Better luck next test week.

Is there a bright side anywhere in this gloomy post? YES!!!
There will only be 4 days of hell as opposed to 5 (I love having Fridays off this semester). Also, the following Monday I get my braces off, and that next Thursday I'm flying to Orlando for the weekend (not for disney world tho)! So I hope and pray those two huge awesome things will help motivate me to survive this week. But I'll probably still stop caring come test #3 :)

I'm Addicted

I'm an addict to absolutely useless things . . . utterly useless, and utterly addicted.

Facebook, Blogger, Twitter, Drudge... I'll click between them for an hour even if nothing has changed just to see if something has changed. I'll get on AIM or iChat or whatever and I'll stay on and never have a conversation with anyone for a 2 months. I'll sit in my car and miss the first 10 minutes of class because I'm listening to talk radio and I want to hear the next point. I piddle, going from one useless thing to the next, never doing what needs to be done, all while deadlines grow closer and the ability to complete necessary tasks becomes less and less likely.

This right here is a good example. Delaying the inevitable. It's a terrible way to keep on living. I know it's bad, it's self-destructive, it's stupid. Yet I continue. I think that makes me weak. Probably.

The pills will kill the pain... excedrin. Freakin headache. I have about 8 hours worth of homework due tomorrow evening, along with another 2 due in the morning. Tonight I have zero hours (other than the time I'm wasting now) to do those things. Tomorrow I'll have about 4 hours free (relatively). It seems I've waited too long!!

Now, I believe I'll dive into another valentines colored peanut m&m (the best kind) before grabbing an excedrin, a glass of water, and doing last minute prep for the small group tonight.

Vague Sentamentality

... is not what this post is going to be about.

Back in xanga world this is would this post would be about. I'd spill out emotions to unknown readers, sometimes not vague enough while other times too vague. Even though I'd love to do that again, I refuse. The internet is the last place where something like that should be done. I refuse!

Even though the last week has had a lot of that... back and forth, large change yesterday... stop...

Don't... do it... sto...

PANDAS!!!

Success.

Antisocial . . . a wee bit

I hate these moods. So stupid. Mopey for no reason other than to be mopey. Hah. Annoying. About 10-15 people are over here right now watching the Super Bowl, and I just have ZERO desire to be in there. None at all. I'm watching it in here on the computer. I'm just feeling... yeah... I don't know? Weird.

Doesn't help that I have a lot of stuff I need to get done that I haven't gotten done. Just now finished Bible Study prep for tomorrow, and I don't feel good about it. Haven't been sure what to do it on all week. I also have about 6-8 hours worth of Statistical Quality Control homework that I've been putting off for almost 2 weeks, due on Tuesday, but I don't have any time to do it anymore because I waited too long. Bah.

It's hit the time of year where I'm less and less excited about anything going on and more and more ready to just relax and do absolutely nothing. And I haven't even hit my first test. Those are next week, thank goodness not this week.

Bah again.

Dang you world of TV!!!

I had a goal. A simple goal. I began it months ago when I started to see movies on the  horizon that may or may not make it to Oscar season, but my goal was to watch every Oscar nominee (namely best picture nominees, but maybe others), BEFORE the Awards. Sure, I still have time, I can still do it, and I only have 3 left (and quick access to all 3), but I'm not sure I will succeed... why?

TV. Specifically, a TV show I've been avoiding for 5 years now. A TV show I've heard rave reviews about, heard people becoming addicted to, heard people talking about. A TV show that I said I wouldn't watch precisely because people obsessed and liked it a little too much. I don't want to follow the crowd. I like to be unique. But less than a week ago, I caved and watched the pilot episode of the first season. And now I'm hooked. I've literally watched six 45 minute episodes in the past TWO DAYS.

Curse you TV.

Curse you Lost.

I am a sheep being led to slaughter, a lemming, an Alabamian who likes Sweet Home Alabama, a Republican who likes Bush. I am a Wal-Mart shopping, coffee drinking, Mac weilding, poloshirt wearing, internet blogging, facebook using, recent addict of Lost. Is there anything about me that is the least bit original?

Four Years Ago

Four years ago I had the AMAZING opportunity to go with classmates in my AP Government class to the 2nd Inauguration of President Bush. Talk about doing something crazy! It was fall of my senior year when I first heard of the opportunity, and it was a way out of the box idea. It was probably the first time I'd ever come back from school to ask my parents about going on a crazy trip, and I definitely wasn't sure what kind of a reaction I would get. Luckily it was positive! So I was off on what I consider to be the first nuts adventure of my wee little life. The first of many!
First picture is at a concert/party with a whole bunch of us silly high schoolers. Ruben Studdard or however you spell his name was there, Fuel was there, Steven Baldwin, Hillary Duff, maybe another random band or two, and it ended with George W. Bush and Laura showing up. His daughters were also up in the higher stands.

The second picture is of the night before the inauguration at another concert behind the White House. That's Rick Warren giving the invocation (similar to this year I suppose).
And now the inauguration itself! I must say, it was MUCH less crowded than it looked to be on the news this year. You can actually see an empty space around us, which from the pictures on the news of Obama's, it didn't look to be so empty. While there though, it felt really really crowded. There was barely any room to even move or get on and off the subways!

The last picture is of the Bush motorcade during the Inaugural Parade. Laura is in the back seat of that first limo, hard to see from here but it was fairly easy while there. She waved at us! Haha. You can definitely see protestors in the background too.

Alrighty then! So that's me remembering four years ago... appropriate considering what today is. Four years later, Obama is inaugurated. Pretty cool stuff. I'm excited that our government is actually viable again, as opposed to it being lame-duck with a do-nothing congress the past few months. Garbage. But it's always like that after an election. Now, action again!

One step closer...

I like where the looks on this thing are going. I spent the last hour in a half making that dang header image in photoshop, ended up being more of a pain than I anticipated. Strangely, sizing/cropping individual images was the hardest part. Only thing left to change on this site now is some colors. Tomorrow though, tomorrow...

Now, I need sleep. I'm not tired though, which sucks. But wes called me a minute ago to remind me about working out in the morning. Crap. I wonder if the UFC is even open tomorrow (and I kind of hope it isn't). But that means I have to wake up earlier than usual, and considering how not-tired I am, this could be bad. Oh well, I'll manage, even though tomorrow looks to be quite busy. After workout I'll be going over Mechanics of Materials homework with Brady and Oldland. And following that is our weekly Bible Study. Luckily, I don't have to do it this week. Oh, and Dan is coming back tomorrow sometime and is hopefully bringing back a new couch, bed, and dishwasher. The last one is the least likely though. We'll see. Hopefully he'll show when I'm at home, which doesn't look to be much!

Okay, here goes, let's see if this sleep thing works out...
